What Is Jeuveau?
FDA-approved and made with the same active ingredient as Botox, Jeuveau can restore your more youthful facial appearance by treating overactive muscles that cause unwanted facial wrinkles and creases. Jeuveau is an injectable cosmetic “freezer” specifically designed for temporary improvement in moderate to severe glabellar lines (also known as frown lines or “11’s”) and is also effective in treating crow’s feet (outer eye wrinkles) and forehead lines.
How Does Jeuveau Work?
Similar to Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, Jeuveau is an injectable neuromodulator that stops your nerves from telling your treated facial muscles to flex or contract. As a result, the muscles relax, and the wrinkles that normally form from their movement are prevented. When relaxed, these movement lines are much less noticeable both immediately and over time.
It is used for:
- Crow’s feet
- Forehead creases
- Glabellar lines
- Jawline contouring
- Lip lines/fine lines around the mouth
- Neck bands/lines (“tech neck”)
- Nose wrinkles or creases (“bunny lines”)
- Vertical neck lines/platysmal bands

What To Expect With Jeuveau
Jeuveau is a quick and convenient procedure that can take as little as 15 minutes. There is typically minimal pain and virtually no stinging sensation associated with Jeuveau. However, as with any injectable treatment, there may be some minor discomfort upon injection. A topical numbing cream can be supplied if needed.
There is no downtime after Jeuveau injections. Patients can return to their everyday activities immediately following their treatment and can expect to see results one or two weeks after injection.
How Long Do Jeuveau Results Last?
Jeuveau results typically last about three months. This duration varies based on the specific areas treated and each patient’s unique response to the treatment. Active, athletic, and/or more expressive individuals may find that neuromodulator results do not last quite as long, and these patients may require a higher dosage.
Neurotoxins like Jeuveau require consistent maintenance to prevent and “freeze” our movement lines. Without regular treatments, the wrinkles will slowly return as the muscle regains function over time. Retreatment with Jeuveau every two to four months, as advised by our providers, will help you maintain your desired look.”
